Why Choose Fractional Laser at Lottie Laser Clinic?

At Lottie Laser Clinic, we invest in proven British technology from Lynton Lasers, the UK’s leading, Medically CE marked and NHS-trusted manufacturer of laser systems. That means your treatment is delivered with the same technology used in top clinics and hospital settings across the country.

Many clients feel stuck with scars or skin ageing that “nothing will fix.” Er:YAG fractional technology changes everything.

Our ResurFACE™ treatment uses a 2940 nm Er:YAG laser, a wavelength highly absorbed by water in the skin. Since the skin is primarily composed of water, this allows the laser to precisely remove microscopic columns of damaged tissue with exceptional control and safety.

This makes it one of the gold-standard resurfacing treatments for concerns such as:

  • Acne scarring

  • Stretch marks

  • Fine lines & wrinkles

  • Enlarged pores

  • Pigmentation and sun damage

  • Rough, uneven, or congested texture

The result?
A smoother, clearer, younger-looking complexion — achieved through deep, scientifically backed skin regeneration.

How Er:YAG Fractional Resurfacing Works

1. Microscopic laser beams target tiny fractions of the skin

The Er:YAG laser delivers thousands of controlled micro-beams into the skin, creating microscopic columns of thermal energy.

2. Damaged cells are vaporised with ultra-fine accuracy

Because water absorbs this wavelength so efficiently, the Er:YAG laser can resurface the skin layer-by-layer with incredible precision.

3. Your skin’s healing response is activated

The untreated skin surrounding each micro-channel speeds up recovery and triggers intense collagen and elastin production.

4. New, fresher skin replaces old, damaged tissue

This is why the treatment is so effective for scars, stretch marks, fine lines, and deep texture irregularities.

It’s powerful science — made safe and accessible by Lynton’s award-winning British engineering.

Your Fractional Laser Resurfacing (ResurFACE™) Treatment Experience

  • Prior to treatment, a consultation is conducted in which a medical history is taken to confirm suitability for treatment, there is also an opportunity for any questions you may have to be answered.

Before treatment commences you must provide written consent and a small test patch will be carried out

  • Your skin is cleansed, and protective eyewear is provided.

The ResurFACE™ handpiece is passed across the skin, delivering micro-patterns of laser energy.

You may feel warmth or a light stinging sensation. A cooling pack may be applied afterwards to soothe the skin.

  • You may experience:

    • A warm, sunburn-like sensation for several hours

    • Redness for 1–2 days

    • Mild swelling (2–3 days)

    • A bronzed tone followed by gentle flaking (3–10 days)

These are all positive signs of deep regeneration.

  • Over the next few weeks, your skin will rebuild from within, producing fresh collagen and new healthy tissue.

Scars fade, pores refine and texture becomes noticeably smoother. Results continue to improve long after the session.

What results can I expect to see?

Fractional Er:YAG resurfacing stimulates a powerful collagen-remodelling response. As this new collagen strengthens and rebuilds the skin over the following weeks, you can expect:

  • Visibly smoother texture

  • Softer acne scars and stretch marks

  • Reduced fine lines

  • Tighter, firmer skin

  • Refined pores

  • Improved tone and radiance

Because the treatment works deep within the skin, improvements continue for up to three months after each session.

  • Fractional Er:YAG resurfacing improves acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, pigmentation, rough texture and overall skin quality.

It’s ideal for anyone wanting smoother, clearer, younger-looking skin.

  • The laser creates thousands of tiny micro-channels in the skin, triggering a powerful healing response.

This stimulates new collagen and elastin production while removing damaged tissue, leading to smoother, fresher, more refined skin.

  • You’ll see improvement after your first session, but most clients benefit from 3–5 treatments, spaced 2–6 weeks apart, depending on the depth of concern.

  • Er:YAG is known for its superior safety profile compared with deeper CO₂ lasers due to lower, more targeted heat diffusion in the skin.

    Expected, temporary effects include:

    • Redness

    • Mild swelling

    • Skin bronzing or peeling

Rare side effects may include small blisters or temporary pigmentation changes, which usually resolve with correct aftercare.

  • Most people seeking smoother, clearer, rejuvenated skin are excellent candidates.

Your consultation and patch test ensure fractional laser is the right treatment for your skin type and goals.

  • You’ll feel warmth and mild stinging as the laser passes over the skin.

Most clients describe it as manageable. Cooling is applied immediately afterward to soothe the area.

  • Expect redness and a warm sensation for a few hours, followed by mild swelling for 1–3 days.

As the skin renews, you may notice a bronzed tone and light flaking for several days, all normal signs of regeneration.

  • Yes. Many clients combine resurfacing with IllumiFacial®, IllumiSmooth™ or targeted IPL to enhance results.

Your practitioner will recommend the safest, most effective plan.

  • You’ll be advised to avoid heat, sun exposure and active skincare for a few days.

Daily SPF 50 is essential. Moisturising regularly helps support healing.
