How IllumiSmooth™ Works

IllumiSmooth™ is a two-phase, dual-technology facial that treats multiple layers of the skin in one session.

Phase 1: IPL Skin Rejuvenation

We begin with Lynton IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) to target:

  • Prior to treatment, a consultation is conducted in which a medical history is taken to confirm suitability for treatment, there is also an opportunity for any questions you may have to be answered. Before treatment commences you must provide written consent and a small test patch will be carried out

  • Your skin will be cleansed and prepared before we begin. You’ll feel brief flashes of light from the IPL, followed by a warm, prickling sensation from the fractional laser – most clients describe it as slightly uncomfortable but very manageable.

  • Your skin may look pink or feel warm, similar to mild sunburn. You might experience some dryness or flakiness over the following days as your skin renews. We’ll apply soothing products in clinic and give you clear aftercare advice to support healing.

  • Within a few days, skin often feels smoother and looks brighter. Over the next few weeks, as new collagen forms and old tissue is replaced, you’ll see gradual improvements in:

  • This varies from person to person and depends on your skin concerns. Typically, we recommend a course of 3–6 treatments, spaced around 4–6 weeks apart, for the best long-term results.

  • An IllumiSmooth™ treatment usually takes around 60–90 minutes, depending on the size of the area and the level of correction require

  • Most people experience mild redness, warmth and possible dryness for 2–5 days. Makeup can usually be worn after 24 hours (depending on your skin’s response), and we’ll advise you on sun protection and skincare to support healing.
